Sony grows Cyber-shot family by three with DSC-WX50 and WX70, ultra-thin TX200V

Far more svelte than its lengthy product name, the Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V is Sony's new point-and-shoot flagship, packing an 18.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor, 26mm 5x optical zoom lens, 1080/60p video capture and a 3.3-inch Xtra Fine TruBlack OLED touchscreen. Sony claims that the cam's BIONZ processor can help it capture stills and video with extremely low noise, and an improved focusing system can deliver speeds of about 0.13 seconds in daylight and 0.25 seconds in lower-light conditions. Its reflective durable housing enables waterproof shooting down to 16 feet, and can protect the camera from dust and freezing temperatures of 14 degrees Fahrenheit.

If price is more important to you than an ultra-thin design and top-of-the-line spec list, then the DSC-WX70 and DSC-WX50 might be of interest. Both cameras include 16.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensors, 25mm 5x optical zoom lenses, 12 megapixel stills during video capture, and 1080/60i HD shooting. There are nine "Picture Effects" options, adopted from the NEX series and also found on the TX200V. Both the WX50 and WX70 have a nearly identical list of features, though the first model includes a 2.7-inch display, compared to a 3-inch touchscreen on the WX70. All three cameras are expected to ship in March in a variety of colors. The TX200V will be available in silver, red and violet finishes with a retail price of $500, while the WX70 and WX50 will run you $230 and $200, respectively. After our brief hands-on with the iPod nano 4G this morning, Apple gave us one of the super-slim PMPs to take away.

To recap, the nano 4G is the thinnest iPod that Apple have made to date; made from metal and glass, it borrows the accelerometer from the iPhone and iPod touch for intuitive screen orientation changes and Apple’s new “Shake to Shuffle” feature.

We’ll be reviewing the iPod nano over the next couple of days; as ever, the big question isn’t whether new buyers would be happy – because we already think they will be – but whether existing owners should consider upgrading. Check back later to find out what we decide!

It’s too early for our full review, but we wanted to share the unboxing video with you.

The iPod Touch being the most expensive as well as most sophisticated iPod of them all, we’re not surprised to see Steve Jobs have this device updated at all. The New iPod Touch, now in fourth generation since the announcement yesterday, will feature both front and rear camera. The front camera will be used for video calls and it will allow you to enjoy FaceTime video conversation with your friends just like the iPhone 4. On the other hand, rear camera will be capable of recording 720p HD video. The new iPod Touch is very similar to the iPhone 4 and it will feature also 3.5-inch 960×640 Retina Display. Connectivity has always been an important factor for Apple’s devices and therefore the latest iPod Touch will feature bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.

In addition, this device features 3-axis gyro, accelerometer and ambient light sensor. Of course, you’ll won’t run out of battery power since this device is equipped with lithium-ion battery that will provide you with up to 40 hours music playback and 7 hours of video playback.

The new iPod Touch is only 7.2mm thick and it comes with iOS 4.1 and GameCenter, Apple’s way of convincing you that the iPod Touch can be a handheld gaming device just like the PSP. There will be several models of the iPod Touch 4G on the market which will boast 8GB, 32GB and 64GB storage capacities. Pricing will be $229, $299, and $399 respectively if you’re in the US and £189, £249 and £329 respectively if you’re in the UK.

iPod Touch 4/4G by Apple is expected to come in next few weeks. It is now been reported by John Gruber that the iPod Touch 4 will be having Retina display and two cameras, one at the front and other at the rear.

He also mentioned that next generation iPod Touch will be available in few weeks for purchasing. It has been reported earlier that Apple is Scheduling an event in Mid- August to for iPod Touch 4 announcements.

Rumors are that Apple is planning to bring FaceTime chat in all its major products, so with the camera equipped, iPod Touch 4 will also enable to support video chat using the FaceTime feature.

It is expected that the iPod Touch 4 will have 3 MP camera with flash, A4 processor and much better battery support. Gyroscope is also rumored to be supported for playing games.

The anticipations are going on and on about iPod touch but John Gruber is always been a reliable source which gives correct information about release of products by Apple.

Generally Apple holds iPod specific event every year in September but some sources have leaked that this year the event is taking pace bit early. However, Apple has not done any announcements yet for any event.

The bad: Nonremovable battery; no matte screen or discrete graphics options.

The bottom line: Previously known as the MacBook, Apple's basic 13-inch aluminum unibody laptop has been promoted to the "Pro" series, all while adding features and cutting the base price.

The release date of the iphone 5 has been just an on going rumor for months now. Among the new features every new Iphone brings, the release date is just as hot a topic. Apple’s WWDC is just around the corner and although no announcements are expected for the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, that doesn’t stop a new crop of rumors on the next-gen Apple smartphones. It was originally speculated that the iPhone 4S would show up in September for Sprint and T-Mobile networks, while an iPhone 5 would arrive in November.

That timeline of having the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 spaced so closely together is a little odd, despite analysts’ claims. It’s now rumored that the iPhone 5 may actually arrive in Spring 2012, with the iPhone 4S still slotting in around the September timeframe. There have been claims that the iPhone 4S has already been seeded to game developers to optimize games for its improved hardware, which will include the A5 chip and an 8-megapixel camera.

The new claim also follows previous rumors that the new iPhone will be a world phone that can support both CDMA and GSM networks. But, it adds that the iPhone 4S will have an integrated SIM. According to UK carrier Orange, Apple has been working on a new micro-SIM that’s even smaller than the current one. That doesn’t seem to jive with this report that the next-gen iPhone will have a completely built-in and non-swappable SIM.
